Day in the Life as a Marketing Intern at AMBIR Technology
As I finish up my first year at Ambir Technology, I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to grow a tech company through marketing. My main focus is on affiliate marketing, helping get our products promoted by content creators. I also help with email marketing and lead generation.
I start my morning with roughly a 45 minute commute to Wood Dale by car, getting into the office around 9:30. Most mornings, I start by checking in on our affiliate programs. Right now, I’m paying close attention to our partnership with Levanta. While we’ve seen a small increase in sales from it, there’s still a long way to go. I’ve brought in about 196 affiliates so far, with a combined reach of more than 80 million followers. Even though the numbers sound good, many of the creators are not active or don’t respond. Some want rewards or payment but don’t put in any effort. A big part of my job is trying to change that and find ways to keep them involved.
Another part of my role is helping with email marketing. We don’t send campaigns as often as we should, so I’ve been working on building up our email lists. I research different businesses and contacts and organize everything in Excel or Zoho. This helps us reach out to the right people and grow our B2B sales.
During the day, I also stay in touch with our affiliates. I answer questions, remind them to post about our products, and try to get them more excited about promoting Ambir. It takes a lot of follow-up, but it’s all part of getting our name out there.
Working at Ambir has given me a lot of hands-on experience. From managing affiliate programs to building email lists, I’m learning how to support a brand and help it grow. Every day brings something new, and I’m looking forward to using what I’ve learned as I move into my second year with the company.
